Along with exciting new look uniforms, the Fratmen will have many new and younger faces in the 2008 line-up. The graduation of 10 players from the 2007 Western Conference finalists should make for an exciting competition for the open jobs. The Fratmen expect to be younger, faster and better skilled than in 2007. The Fratmen will return three 21 year olds for 2008. They are Andrew Ryckman, Andrew Soulliere and Drew St. Louis. Other key returnees include Don Matte, Garrison Matte, Gavin Ducharme, Brett Hickey, Steve Hinek, D.J. Turner, Mike Rivait, Grant Sokolowski and goaltender Brendan Stevenson. Many of the open spots will be filled by affiliated players from the Windsor Warlock organization, many of whom got some playing time with the Fratmen in 2007.
Coach Greg Ducharme will return for his sixth season, and fifth season as Head Coach. Offensive coach Ron Martinello will also return as will goaltending coach Ed McGaffey. The Fratmen are sad to lose Defensive coach Jim Leworthy to an out of town job transfer. Taking over the defensive duties will be NLL veteran John Rosa.
Greater Windsor Lacrosse will again operate the very popular Grand-A-Game draws in 2008. During the second intermission of each regular season home game we will draw two tickets, the first prize is $1000.00 and the second prize is $100.00. All winning tickets are eligible for all draws. There are only 300 tickets available, and the cost is $100.00 per ticket. To reserve your ticket please call 519 971-5102
